STEP 1:

Keyword Strategy

We use the fundamentals of organic search as the first building block to site optimisation

1.1 Understanding & Analysis

The first thing our Geeks do is take a look at your business in order to understand your customers and what search terms they use on Google. We then take a look at your competitors to find out if they’re already ranking for those keywords. We want your site to always be one step ahead of your competitors, so we make sure we know exactly who we’re up against and how we can one-up their strategies.

1.2 Strategy Development

We use our research to identify the most profitable keywords for your business and to develop a strategy to implement these keywords on your site’s pages. While we’re here, we make sure your site is properly set up with Google Analytics and Search Console to help us track and monitor these results.

STEP 2:

On-Page Optimisation

Our SEO Geeks get to work optimising your web pages to raise the bar on industry standards and outshine your competitors.

2.1 Technical SEO

Don’t get us wrong. Having a nice-looking website is important, but that alone won’t attract potential customers. When we say on-page optimisation, we also mean fixing and optimising the things that the end-user doesn’t necessarily see. This step is important because if there’s a problem at this level, your pages aren’t likely being ranked correctly by Google.

This process involves a pretty intense level of Geekiness. To start with, we audit your entire website to identify problem areas that could be hurting your digital presence. For instance, if there’s anything stopping Google from properly indexing your site, we remove those blockages right away. Then, apply immediate fixes to enhance your site’s performance, speed, and mobile-friendliness, and identify items that need monitoring and maintenance.

Now, if you’ve made it this far, you probably also speak a little Geek, so to give you a hint of what we’re talking about when we say “technical SEO”, this is what we mean:

Basically, this is all the stuff that makes Google happy*.

2.2 On-Page Best Practices

At the same time, we take a look at your site’s content and HTML source code to identify what on-page SEO changes we can make so that you’re not just speaking your customer’s language, but Google’s too. This is where we start implementing our keyword strategy to your pages.

We use the on-page SEO best practices to clean up your content, fix messy URLs, optimise your titles and description tags, and much more.

STEP 3:

Off-Page Optimisation

We look beyond your website to strengthen your online presence and build site authority through backlinks, mentions, and traffic.

3.1 Review of Online Foundations

Before Google ranks your website for search queries, it wants to know that you are who you say you are. And we get it. There are a lot of con artists out there. To protect the user, and to uphold its reputation as being the most intelligent search engine that really “gets” what the end-user is looking for, Google analyses your site’s authority before deciding how to rank it.

Google’s algorithms use over 200 ranking factors but the most important off-page ranking factors are the external signals generated outside your website, such as brand or site mentions, backlinks, and site traffic.

We start by reviewing your current web presence, which includes any mention of:

We then review and assess the most relevant foundation links across the following areas:

We want to make sure your brand has a strong and consistent online presence. To do that, we create, style, and optimise your brand’s social profiles on blog sites, review sites, job sites, and up to 80 social profile sites. We then create listings for your business on hundreds of recognised and authoritative local directories and sites.

The next step is to build links that will send traffic to your website, as well as increase your brand’s authority and relevance on Google. Our link-building process is based on a blended approach that focuses on high-quality links.

Before we get started, we run your site through a link audit. Then, we get you involved in online discussions and conversations by creating niche relevant social backlinks. A perfect example of this is answering any topically relevant questions on a combination of sites like Quora & Yahoo! Answers, as well as blogs and forums. This can often even drive real traffic as well as increasing your authority on the topic.

We don’t stop there. Then, we write optimised press releases to introduce your company to the world or announce exciting company news. These press releases are then syndicated across hundreds of news websites.

And very importantly, we leverage our access to a network of high-authority business and technology focused sites to help sculpt your websites topical relevance.

Our backlink strategy goes far beyond what we’ve shown you here, and when you partner with us, we’ll show you even more.

STEP 4:

Rinse & Repeat

We monitor and maintain your analytics tools and repeat each SEO step to ensure your site stays ahead of your competitors.

Now that your site is fully optimised, both on and off page the work doesn’t stop there, we continue to do research, optimise pages and build links to your site so that you’re constantly outranking your new and existing competitors.

We do this by:

Why do you need ongoing maintenance? New competitors pop up and Google’s algorithms are constantly evolving. We need to make sure your site is always one step ahead of these ever-changing practices and that you’re taking advantage of new ranking keywords.

As your site’s rankings improve and inbound traffic increases, you may decide down the road to expand or adjust your services, at which point we’d be happy to help you scale your website.

Search engine optimization is all about long-term results, so expect to see the real magic happen within three to six months.

*At this point, you might be wondering why we focus so much of our attention on Google and not, for example, Bing or Yahoo! That’s because Google has 92.5% of the global search engine market share, with the remaining 7.5% spread amongst the rest. Everything we do is optimised for all search engines, but overwhelmingly, we want to make sure your site works for the only search engine that really matters (no offence, ).
