Search Strategist
Nicole Ford
As a Search Strategist, I’m responsible for developing and managing SEO strategies that support our clients’ business objectives. My work involves analysing data, identifying opportunities, and building a strong foundation for long-term growth. I have a keen eye for detail, a love of exploring data, and a habit of always asking ‘why’ – so it’s rare that I leave any (necessary) stone unturned.
My Experience at Geeky Tech
Working at Geeky Tech so far has been exciting. Not just because of the flexibility, the clients, and my passion for SEO, but also because I get to collaborate with specialists from around the world who are equally passionate about what they do!
I’m based just outside of Brighton on the South Coast of the UK. As someone who loves being by the sea, working remotely in a flexible role at Geeky Tech means I get the best of both worlds: contributing to a forward-thinking agency while still enjoying time on the beach (not at the same time though, of course!).
What Makes Me a Geek the Geekiest
I geek out about far too many things, especially when it comes to the wonders of the natural world (or virtual ones), so here’s the shortlist:
Music is a daily obsession, especially live music. I’m always at a gig, which has led to a growing collection of vinyls and band t-shirts. I’m also a beginner forager, learning which plants and mushrooms are edible and which ones might accidentally ruin your evening. It’s oddly reassuring to think that might come in handy during a zombie apocalypse, and it’s a good excuse to haul my camera around!
As a certified Advanced Open Water diver, I’m endlessly fascinated by marine life, ecosystems, and the calm that comes with being deep underwater.
And when I’m not in the sea, in the woods, or at a gig, I’m probably lost in an RPG. I have three tattoos from my favourite game franchises and have played nearly every Final Fantasy title, because some stories stay with you long after the credits roll.
My Office Claim to Fame
I flew to both Amsterdam and Berlin just to go to a gig, and then flew back the next day.
I once got on a train somewhere and walked 20 miles back just for fun.
I also dressed as a ‘deviled egg’ for halloween (sadly, nobody got the pun).
Oh, and I only have a birthday every four years because I was born on a leap year – so was Superman.
